Dérive

My project during the residency in Italy, named 'derive', is a continuation of my research on Guy Debord's theory of spectacular society during my 2nd year at Central Martin's. The project is run by Opificio Della Rosa and involves collaboration with two other students from Rome University of Fine Arts, exploring the role of religious contexts and natural landscapes in walking at Montefiore Conca. The resulting artworks included posters, illustrations and book designs, which were printed in both letterpress and woodcut processes. During my two-month residency at the castle, I explored the fascination of digital-free graphic design and typography.
